Citing a letter from the Halal Accreditation Agency, it is stated that the World Halal Summit and Halal Expo, held annually under the auspices of the Presidency, are organized by Discover Events with the coordination of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), a related organization of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Last year, the World Halal Summit, which featured approximately 50 high-level speakers from 18 different countries, addressed important issues related to the global halal sector. Original projects were presented under 10 different session topics. Nearly 500 domestic and international companies from 50 countries participated in the Halal Expo. The event was reportedly a successful international event, attracting over 50,000 visitors from over 100 countries. The article continues by stating that the global halal market, currently valued at approximately US$7 trillion, is expected to reach US$10 trillion in the near future. Turkey aims to become a central hub, attracting attention to this sector, which has a consumer base of nearly 2 billion worldwide, particularly in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, tourism, and finance sectors. In this context, it is also stated that the 11th World Halal Summit and Halal Expo 2025 (https://helalexpo.com.tr/), which is expected to host more than 1,000 purchasing professionals, will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center (Yeşilköy) from November 26–29, 2025. In this context, the event is expected to bring together a wider audience of participants with its Private Label Products Area, Natural Organic Vegan (NOV) Products Area, Modest Fashion Area, SEFPEX Seafood and Equipment Area, Country Business Forums, and ETHEXPO Eurasia Tourism and Health Fair. A total of 50,000 visitors, 20,000 of whom are international, are expected to attend. It is emphasized that the event will allow our companies to gain a greater share of the halal sector through B2B meetings.
