The first paragraph of Article 20 of the Insurance Agents Regulation states, "Technical personnel shall attend training every five years, the date and program of which shall be announced in advance, to ensure the continuity of their professional competence, knowledge, and skills. The five-year period shall be calculated based on the date of receipt or renewal of the SEGEM certificate." The third paragraph states, "The activities of technical personnel who have not completed the training within the specified period shall be suspended until the completion of this training. Information regarding the suspended technical personnel shall be submitted to the TOBB and the TSB." In this context, the Insurance Training Center (SEGEM) has prepared a training program consisting of advanced insurance topics across insurance branches, as well as topics such as digital marketing, insurance law, and communication skills. Applications were opened in June 2025. Within the framework of the aforementioned legislation, intermediaries who received certification by taking the Technical Personnel Proficiency Exam administered by SEGEM in 2020 or before must renew their certifications by attending the training program held in 2025. The application deadline for the renewal training, which lasts a total of 14 hours, is December 15, 2025, and the training monitoring deadline is December 22, 2025. (Intermediaries who received certification by taking the Technical Personnel Proficiency Exam in 2021 or after are not required to attend the renewal training program, as the five-year period has not yet expired.)
