Following the enactment of the Climate Law, the "Draft Regulation on Carbon Crediting and Offsetting," a copy of which is attached, was published by the Presidency of Climate Change. This draft represents a significant milestone for Türkiye"s participation in voluntary carbon markets and international carbon markets within the scope of the Paris Agreement.

With the published draft;

The Turkish Carbon Offsetting System (TR DDS) is being provided with a legal framework.

Carbon credit generation will be enabled from greenhouse gas reduction and removal projects.

Carbon credits can be used for offsetting purposes in both voluntary commitments and Emissions Trading System (ETS) obligations.

Authorization mechanisms are being implemented for credits that can be traded in international carbon markets integrated with the national system.

Carbon market operation; It is addressed holistically through monitoring, reporting, validation, verification, and registration processes.
