On the other hand, it has been reported that there are currently no heavy vehicles waiting to enter the Russian Federation at the Kazbegi/Verhniy
Lars Border Crossing, which is the only border crossing point between Georgia and the Russian Federation, but there are over 500 trucks waiting at the border crossing on the way out of the Russian Federation, and this number is much higher with the vehicles waiting in line. It is stated that due to worsening weather conditions (snow, ice and avalanche risk), restrictions at the border crossing may be tightened and waiting times may be extended due to the increased vehicle density.
Finally, it is emphasized that our transporters should be prepared for the possible congestion that may occur at the aforementioned border crossing and should consider alternative routes if necessary, given that the current situation may become more critical.
