With Iraq"s implementation of the TIR System as of April 1, 2025, the possibility of transit transportation to the Gulf countries via Iraq has emerged. On the other hand, Iraqi authorities only accept transit transactions made with TIR Carnets and request that the transport documents be submitted in advance. In this regard, the TIR EPD system has been harmonized to ensure that the documents requested by Iraqi customs before transportation are sent in advance.
