The Ministry of Industry and Technology has launched the Local Development Incentive Program with the aim of reducing interregional development disparities and mobilizing local potential. This strategic support program, which will be implemented in 81 provinces across Turkey, aims to encourage new investments in order to reduce development disparities between regions and include each province in our development mobilization.

The program aims to; increase the socioeconomic development level of the provinces, utilize geographical potential and idle resources, meet local needs, develop sectors that do not have production in the region but have a high probability of success, support the forward-backward connections of existing sectors, and increase local employment by creating clusters. While four priority investment areas are determined for each province, all projects to be supported will be evaluated based on a feasibility report.

In this context, we are entering a new era that will increase the production power of Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye provinces and accelerate regional development with the Local Development Initiative.

This step, which will strengthen the local economy, is expected to increase regional prosperity and production capacity.
