In the letter sent to our Union from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, it is stated that according to the National Energy Plan published by their Ministry in 2022, the aim is to reach 7.2 GW of nuclear installed capacity by 2035 and approximately 20 GW by 2053. In this context, it is aimed to establish large-scale nuclear power plants, each with approximately 5000 MW, in Sinop and Thrace, and negotiations are ongoing with countries that possess the technology. In the preliminary feasibility studies to be carried out in these negotiations, it is planned to determine the products that can be supplied from our country. The letter further states that the information to be collected from our companies through the portal called "Nuclear Energy Supplier Information System (NETBIS)" established by the Ministry (https://netbis.enerji.gov.tr) will also be used.
