According to a letter received from the Lisbon Trade Attaché, information is provided about the increase in cyber fraud cases in Portugal. It is stated that in these fraudulent activities, IBAN information is altered as a result of attacks on companies" email accounts, and that payments belonging to our companies are transferred to different bank accounts in Portugal via falsified IBAN information, even though the buyer and seller are not located in Portugal. The letter further warns our companies not to make payments without confirming the transmitted IBAN accounts through alternative communication channels and to be cautious about transferring money to accounts in Portuguese banks starting with PT, even if the foreign companies they do business with are located outside of Portugal. Furthermore, it is emphasized that investigations conducted by the Lisbon Trade Attaché revealed that our companies were contacted through links belonging to fake companies such as https://neartrad...; https://www.fapajalp.../; https://ferbarg.../ under the pretext of product supply, and that fake proforma invoices were sent. For further information on this matter, please contact the Lisbon Trade Attaché via email at lizbon@ticaret.gov.tr.
