The Opening and Information Meeting organized within the scope of the Social Inclusion Green Transition Support Program in Industry (SAYED) was held hosted by the Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the meeting organized under the coordination of the Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency (DOĞAKA); topics such as the green transformation process in industry, resource efficiency, sustainable production models and the development of qualified employment in the context of social inclusion were discussed. Participants were informed about current support mechanisms for businesses to comply with environmental and economic sustainability criteria.

Tuğçe Altun Durgun, Head of the Productivity Unit in Industry, drew attention to the multi-dimensional structure of the program, stating that SAYED is not only about environmental transformation; He also stated that it offers a model that encourages the participation of disadvantaged groups, especially young people and women, in the workforce. It was emphasized that the repayable financing opportunities to be provided within the scope of the program also constitute an important opportunity for businesses. In the final part of the meeting, information was provided about the Local Development Incentive Program, focusing on investment areas that will support regional development. In this context, priority investment areas that will strengthen Iskenderun"s industrial infrastructure were shared with the participants. The meeting, which was held with the participation of public, private sector and civil society representatives, prepared the ground for evaluating cooperation opportunities that will contribute to the green transformation process in industry.
