The Filter Industry Supply Chain Workshop, hosted by the İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry and organized within the scope of the Filter Export Team"s UR-GE Project, was successfully held.
The workshop addressed critical topics that will shape the future of the filter industry. In his opening speech, ITSO Chairman Levent Hakkı Yılmaz emphasized that the filter industry is one of the driving forces of the regional economy. Yılmaz stated that significant work has been undertaken with the UR-GE Project, aiming to increase the international competitiveness of both the region and the sector, and that this workshop was a valuable step towards sectoral progress.
As part of the program, the production technologies of filter surfaces used in filter production, sustainable PET spunbond solutions, meltblown technology, and applications in the filtration sector were examined in detail. The current status of the filter paper industry in Turkey and innovative roadmaps were evaluated, and a general framework for cellulosic filter papers was presented. Chemical solutions for sustainable filter production, the recycling of polymeric materials, the Digital Product Passport, and its impact on the filter industry were among the key topics discussed. Additionally, innovative approaches to the supply chain, such as polyurethane technologies, advanced filtration systems, nanotechnological coatings, and increased performance with nanofibers, were evaluated.
