İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (İTSO) 10th Professional Committee members Cemil Güler, Neslihan Arslan, Halil Taşkın, İsmail Parlakçı and Doğan Günay attended the 38th GAFSHOES International Shoe and Slipper Fair held in Gaziantep.
Following the opening speeches by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin and Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber, the fair opened its doors to many sector representatives who hosted participants at their stands. The İTSO delegation carried out a busy program at the event, which was held at the Gaziantep Middle East Fair Center in collaboration with the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, the Gaziantep Chamber of Shoemakers, and Akort Fair Organization.
The members of the İTSO 10th Professional Committee held numerous bilateral meetings during the fair and visited company stands to follow the current developments in the sector. In addition, members of our chamber were visited and views were exchanged.
The delegation met with GTO Assembly Member, TOBB Fairs Sector Assembly Vice President and Akort Fairs Board President Hülya Akkaya; GSO Assembly President and SANKO Holding Board President Adil Sani Konukoğlu; GTO Assembly Members and 32nd Professional Committee President, Gaziantep Şahinbey Deputy Mayor Mustafa Tahir Özkara and Committee Member Yılmaz Gözeri; KOSGEB Gaziantep Provincial Director Muhammed Paksoy; MÜSİAD Gaziantep Branch Coordinator Muhammed Fatih Çelik and 26th Term MÜSİAD Board Member Abdulkadir Güven.
During the meetings, current developments in the shoe and slipper sector were evaluated, and ideas on regional cooperation and the future of the sector were exchanged.
