The 18th Professional Group Consultation Meeting of the Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held with a dinner attended by representatives of companies operating in the insurance sector.

The meeting was hosted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, the Chairman of the Assembly, Zeki Altun, members of the board of directors, and members of the 18th Professional Group Committee. The meeting, which attracted significant interest from sector representatives, comprehensively addressed current developments in the insurance field, structural and practical problems encountered in the field, and proposed solutions to these problems.

In the opening section of the meeting, Emir Horuz, a member of the 18th Professional Group Committee of the Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, informed the participants about the activities the professional group has carried out to date. Horuz, drawing attention to the importance of sectoral solidarity, expressed his gratitude to the İTSO management and relevant boards for their support during the ongoing work. The meeting highlighted the critical role of the insurance sector in ensuring economic stability, securing commercial activities, and managing societal risks; discussions focused particularly on regulatory applications, increasing costs, claims processes, and competitive conditions within the sector. Speaking at the meeting, İTSO President Levent Hakkı Yılmaz emphasized the importance of professional unity and joint action in the insurance sector, pointing out that a unified voice from sector representatives would both strengthen the sector and lead to more effective results in resolving existing problems. Yılmaz stated that, as İTSO (İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry), they will continue to support all kinds of efforts that will contribute to the development of the insurance sector and all professional groups. It was noted that the meeting, which continued with mutual exchange of ideas and evaluations, was extremely productive in terms of accurately analyzing the current situation of the sector and creating a roadmap with common sense.
