The İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (İTSO) High Advisory Board held its second meeting with broad participation. The board, comprised of leading industrialists, exporters, and business people who make significant contributions to employment in our region, evaluated issues related to the development of the regional economy.
The Vice-Presidency election, which was postponed due to the inability of some members to attend the first meeting, was also held at this meeting. As a result of the voting, Selma Yılmaz and Can Teymur were elected as Vice-Presidents of the İTSO High Advisory Board.
At the meeting, it was decided to organize a technical visit to the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) facilities to guide firms in the region towards new production and investment areas.
Furthermore, following the meetings held with the Uzbekistani delegation, it was agreed to organize a business trip to Uzbekistan with the participation of the members.
The board members also decided to increase the effectiveness of companies in national and international markets by participating in sectoral fairs and to develop cooperation with chambers of commerce and industry in this context.
