İTSO Assembly Members Gülser Yiğit and Meltem Tufan visited İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Levent Hakkı Yılmaz. During the visit, information was provided about the EU-supported “İskenderun Youth-Oriented Digital and Green Skills Center Project.”

İTSO General Secretary Figen Gül Dönmez and Project Unit Manager Dilek Yalçın also attended the meeting. It was stated that within the scope of the project, a permanent Digital and Green Skills Learning Area will be established within the Applied Training Center affiliated with the İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, equipped with ready equipment and continuing its activities after the project is completed.

High school students who will benefit from the project; It was stated that participants would gain measurable skills through hands-on training in the fields of introduction to artificial intelligence, basic coding, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving, and that these gains would be concretized through project outputs. Furthermore, it was emphasized that through a mentoring and collaboration model to be established with the local business world under the coordination of the İTSO (İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry), the interaction between young people and the business world would be institutionalized; and that the employability of young people would be increased, permanently strengthening İskenderun"s local human resource capacity. İTSO President Levent Hakkı Yılmaz stated that the chamber would provide the necessary support for the project"s implementation.
