A consultation meeting with NGOs was held at Hatay AFAD Coordination Center with the participation of Minister of Commerce Mr. Ömer Bolat and Hatay Governor Mr. Mustafa Masatlı. Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who attended the meeting, took the floor and said; In terms of the importance of companies receiving tenders preferring local tradesmen and merchants of our city in the supply of goods and services

- With the normalization process of Syria, internal Hatay, which is one of the cities that was most affected by the war in social, economic and cultural terms and bears the burden of Syrian refugees the most, is a border neighbor and needs post-earthquake recovery, therefore positive discrimination should be made, and Hatay should be brought to the fore in foreign trade between the two countries. In addition, he stated that the infrastructure of border gates should be improved, trade should be facilitated as much as possible and should be encouraged by the state.
