Chamber of Civil Engineers Hatay Branch Iskenderun Representative Kerem Özdemir stated that the nation felt great sadness due to the loss of life we ​​experienced due to the February 6 earthquakes. He hoped that such a disaster would never happen again. Stating that the earthquake is inevitable but it is possible to reduce its destructive effects, Kerem Özdemir said, “As the chamber, we are trying to do more than our part in this regard. At the seminar, Prof. Dr. Statistics prepared by Kemal Beyen and obtained after the February 6 earthquake were shared in detail. Beyen presented important information about the geological activity in the region, drawing attention to the breaking points of the fault lines that occur especially in Kahramanmaraş and the surrounding earthquake zones.
