İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (İTSO) hosted the “TUA Astro Hackathon” event organized under the leadership of the Turkish Space Agency.

The Hatay leg of the hackathon, which was held simultaneously across Turkey and aimed to bring young people together with space technologies, was organized at İTSO on March 28-29, 2026.

In the event, which was held with high participation in İskenderun, young people interested in technology and space came together and developed projects in teams. Participants competed to produce innovative solutions in line with the defined problem topics, while also having the opportunity to develop teamwork and entrepreneurial skills. The organization, hosted by İTSO, was stated to be important in terms of contributing to the technology ecosystem in the region and preparing the ground for young people to produce innovative projects.
