Following the earthquakes in Hatay on February 6, 2023, the students of Osman Ötken Anatolian High School, who were receiving education on the Karadeniz Lifeship Rauf Bey Ship, which anchored in the port in İskenderun, received three meals a day throughout the academic season from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), and a thank you dinner was held in TOBB"s dining tent.

The event was attended by; Hatay National Education Director Harun Tüysüz, İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, İTSO Board Members and İTSO Secretary General, Coast Guard East Mediterranean Group Commander Lieutenant Colonel Onur Emir, District National Education Director Ali Haytaz, İskenderun Tourism and Promotion Association President Sabahattin Uygun, İskenderun Fisheries Cooperative President Yücel Habip Dalgıç, Rauf Bey Ship Coordinators Oğuz Şahin and Zeynep Şahin, benefactors, press members, teachers, students and ship personnel attended.

Speaking at the program, School Principal Cemal Gülistan commemorated all institutions/organizations and benefactors who have provided support to date and expressed his gratitude. After the dinner program, he presented plaques and gifts to represent his gratitude.

ITSO President Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, in his speech after the dinner, thanked Gümrük ve Turizm İşletmeleri A.Ş. for distributing hot meals in the tent and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey for playing a role in continuing this support. Yilmaz conveyed his best wishes to all students receiving training on the ship and also wished success to the students who will take the exam at the end of the year.
