The Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ITSO) met with its committee members at its joint professional committee meeting, held twice a year.
ITSO President Levent Hakkı Yılmaz, who gave the opening speech of the meeting, provided information about the TOBB Accreditation System and the work carried out by ITSO within this scope. Stating that ITSO has been serving as a "Class B" accredited chamber within the TOBB Accreditation System since 2012, Yılmaz stated that accreditation is not just a document, but an important part of the goal of raising the quality of service to international standards and ensuring continuous institutional development.
In his speech, Yılmaz emphasized that the main mission of ITSO is to provide solutions to the needs of its members, facilitate commercial activities, and contribute to the development of the regional economy. Stating that they continue their work with a participatory, transparent and accountable management approach, Yılmaz said that preparations for the accreditation audit to be held in 2026 are ongoing, and that they are strongly prepared for this process with updated strategic plans and activities. Following President Yılmaz"s speech, a seminar on "Human Resources Management in a Changing World" was given by TOBB trainer Özlem Yurdanur. The seminar addressed the transformation of human resources management in line with globalization, digitalization and changing workforce dynamics. It was emphasized that human resources have become the most valuable asset of institutions, and the importance of placing the right person in the right job, increasing employee loyalty, performance management, and effectively planning training and development processes was highlighted. It was also stated that in order for organizations to increase their competitiveness, elements such as talent management, corporate culture, leadership development, and employee satisfaction should be addressed with a strategic approach.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views among the members of the professional committee.
